Terms and Conditions

By enrolling on any of The Institute for White Goods Engineers training courses you agree to accept and abide by the following terms and conditions.
Us, Our, We, The Institute for White Goods Engineers, The Whitegoods Training academy refers to TheIWGE Ltd its management, staff, trainers and owners.
You and Your refers to The student enrolling on the course and any company or organisation enrolling a student on any of our courses.
All deposits paid are non-refundable for any reason and cannot be transferred to future training dates should you decide for whatever reason that you cannot attend the date you are booking. Balances of course fees or full amounts where no deposit is involved can only be transferred to another date if notification is given in writing and acknowledged by us is received, 28 days prior to the course start date, to allow us time to re book your place. If no notification is received 28 days prior to the course start date, you accept that you will forfeit the course fees and deposit. We may at short notice be able to offer you a place on a future course if places haven’t been fully booked but this is entirely at our discretion.
Upon booking and starting a course that falls within the 14days cooling off period as stated in the consumer Rights Act 2015 you agree that you no longer wish to exercise your right to said 14 days cooling off period. If you would still like the 14 day cooling off period to be enforce that is your right but you agree by starting the course that you will notify us of your intention in writing before you start the course. In which case you will be entitled to a refund less time spent on the course, our materials, time and administration costs.
In all cases an administration fee of £49.99 will be charged to cover the cost of merchant service fees and administration costs for refunds issued.
If accommodation is required, it is your responsibility to book and pay for this on top of your course fees. We have listed some local providers of accommodation, but we take no responsibility for the quality or service they offer.
The training material we supply with each course is for your use only and should not be shared, reproduced or used in part or full for commercial gain or otherwise by you. All material is copyright and any infringement of this will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and compensation sought. All information contained in our training manuals is to the best of our knowledge accurate and factual, however you agree not to hold us accountable, in any way, for damage or injury what so ever caused in part or full for any information contained within this material. All statements and procedures should be checked and proven to be safe and accurate by you.
Anyone attending one of our training courses that is found to be disruptive or aggressive to other students, the management or instructors will be dismissed from the course and no refund in part or full will be granted or due. We will not tolerate bullying, harassment or foul language on any of our courses or on the grounds of our training centres or venues. If you feel you are a victim of this behaviour, please inform an instructor in private and the matter will be handled in a way that we feel suitable. Any one that appears to be intoxicated or impairment is diminished due to the use of drugs or alcohol will be dismissed from the course without any refund in part or full will be granted or due. The health and safety of all attending our training centres is of paramount concern to us.
By attending any of our training centres or venues you will be expected to follow the health and safety guidelines we set out at the beginning of each course. Failure to do so is at your own risk and we will not be held responsible for any action or injury you cause to yourself or others. If we feel you are working unsafe, we will have no option other than to ask you to leave the course without a refund in part or full will be granted or due. No horse play or practical jokes that could endanger others will be tolerated.
You will be expected to bring and use the following Personal Protective Equipment: Safety boots with hard toe cap, Gloves, Eye protection and Ear protection. If using heat or flame wear fire retardant clothing.
We reserve the right to move course dates for whatever reason and without notice. In this event we will offer you a full refund of all monies paid to us for the effected training course but will not accept demands for consequential losses or out of pocket costs incurred by you.
We will only move a course date as a last resort and have to date never had to do so. But as we know life can be unpredictable.
We hope you enjoy your time with us and contribute to making the training program enjoyable and safe.
