The White Goods sales sector has seen record sales and growth during the 2020/2021 period resulting in an unprecedented demand for white goods engineers.
Manufactures and independent repair companies are running continues campaigns to recruit and train appliance engineers across the uk and Ireland and are struggling to keep up with the demand for repairs.
At The Institute for White Goods Engineers we receive almost daily request for engineers we have put through our 224 Consumer Electrical Appliance Repair & Servicing Training Course which of course we are happy to help match students that have funded there training with us with employers.
Because the demand for engineers is so high and the pool of suitable engineers available is low to non existent so manufactures and independent repair companies are being forced to train their own engineers and focus more on the apprenticeship routes. This is more of a longer term solution and doesn’t address the short term requirements of the industry.
We are having great success with the engineers we train and reports from manufactures are telling us that they are out performing more experienced service engineers. To find out more about what we can do for your organisation please contact us.
